Defaults are dated, not live

Wages, burden percentages, and production rates built into an engine's defaults are sourced and dated to when they were researched. They describe general industry conditions at that time, not your specific market or today's date. Compare a default against your own known costs before trusting it, and use the advanced override fields where they're available.

No certification or code compliance

Where a calculation touches a regulated area, application rates, for example, the engine works from the figure you supply or a clearly sourced, dated reference. It does not certify compliance with any label, code, or regulation, and it is not a substitute for reading the actual product label or the applicable rule.

A recommendation only knows what it was told

Every recommendation reflects the inputs and assumptions entered on that engine's page, nothing about your local market, your customer relationships, your crew's real-world capability, or seasonality. Where a recommendation has meaningful unmodeled factors, the engine says so directly instead of implying it accounted for them.
