Routes and Capacity

How Many More Properties Like This One Could This Route Take?

Enter your route's available hours, current committed hours, and this property type's service and drive time. This shows how many more fit before hitting capacity.

How this is calculated

Remaining hours is available weekly hours (see Weekly Route Capacity) minus what is already committed. Hours per property is this property type's service time plus drive time. Additional capacity is remaining hours divided by hours per property, rounded down.

Worked example

A 40-hour week with 25 hours already committed leaves 15 hours. At 1 hour service and 20 minutes drive per property (1.33 hours each), this route could take 11 more properties of that type.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Can I Take On This Property?

Can I Take On This Property evaluates one specific offer, price included. This calculator answers a more general question, how many more properties of a given type could fit, without pricing a specific job.

What if my route serves a mix of property types?

Run this once per property type (using its typical service and drive time) to see capacity for each, rather than averaging across very different property types.

Does this account for scheduling constraints beyond total hours?

No, this is a pure hours-available calculation. Real scheduling may hit constraints (specific days, time windows) before total hours run out.

What happens if I am already at or over capacity?

The calculator returns zero additional properties rather than a negative number, since negative capacity is not a usable answer.
